Cold Room: The Grandma in the White-Box Rap Clip

A silver afro, neon glasses, and a cold room full of white boxes. She has the whole frame.

That is Cold Room.

The clip

Cold Room is 13 seconds, one person, landscape. A grandma raps alone in a cold storage room while the camera circles her. The boxes stay. The beat stays.

You know her immediately. The hair is huge, the glasses are bright green, and the room is almost empty.

Why she sticks

This part is our own view:

• One frame is enough. The silver afro does the work before she says a word.
• It is a solo. One photo changes the whole shot.
• The room stays out of the way. White boxes and cold light, and nothing else to look at.

Make your own

Our Cold Room template is that 13-second clip. You take her place. The room, the camera and the beat stay as they are.

1. Open the Cold Room template.
2. Add one photo: you, facing the camera, chest up.
3. Press Make my video. About 2–5 minutes later, the page updates when it is ready.
